I cleaned my PC yesterday after a long time, and as you would expect it had loads of dust on the fans and fan grilles etc. After putting it back together the PC works fine but the fans on top of the chassis are spinning like crazy - enough to give me a pleasant draft while I'm working. But I'm wondering if something went amiss during the cleaning.
Whilst cleaning, I had to unclip the CoolerMaster liquid cooler to remove the fans, and noticed that the paste was a very thin layer (but not dry). I didn't really mess around with it and put it back as it was before. I wonder if this might cause the fan spinning and maybe I need to re-apply the paste ?
I downloaded NZXT CAM which shows the following (I have the after pic only unfortunately, so not sure if this is within the normal range):
My PC spec is below. If it is indeed the paste that needs to be replaced could you please also advise the type/brand I would need to purchase? Thanks in advance!
