Hi i have got real problems on my system with what i think is a virus, i therefore wish to do a factory reset/wipe.
Its a windows 10 PC i purchased November last year and i believe there is a recovery partition.
Please if possible provide a detailed process as im not super great on PC's in general :/

You should have received a welcome pack leaflet. It indicates a step by step guide on how to do a clean installation of windows. I think it should also be accessible if you go to your account on the main PCS website.

The is no recovery partition on PCS computers, this is because you don't need one. There is no bloatware on a PCS built PC just Windows and trial versions of whatever software you selected, so a 'factory reset' is just a reinstall of Windows from the DVD you were shipped (if you bought Windows pre-installed of course). As keynes has said, instructions on how to do a clean install are in the welcome booklet but you can also ask for guidance on here, most of us have done a reinstall more times than we can remember!

I dont recall seeing a dvd with my welcome pack and the invoice does state there is one on the order, ill recheck. But i assume if there is indeed one its just a case of booting from it ?

It will be in the welcome box with all the other assorted stuff that wasn't used in the build.

And yes, it pretty much is a case of booting the DVD and following the instructions.

Both actually. There should be a driver disk (or possibly more than one) but even with a new PC those drivers might be a tad outdated. You can get drivers from several places; they are available on the downloads section of the main website (for your build) you can get the very latest drivers from each manufacturer's website, or you can just let Windows Update find the right drivers. Many people are finding that Windows 10 makes a much better job of finding the right drivers than earlier versions of Windows seemed to do.

One technique might be to install the PCS supplied drivers, either from the disks you have in the welcome pack or from those downloaded from the website to get you running initially, and then run Windows Update and see whether it finds any better drivers.
