External devices not working after update

Hello, I bought a brand new pc, it's been working fine but today did an update and shutdown. I came back after 30 min to find my pc on and to find that my keyboard, screen and monitors not working. reconnected everything and tried all usb ports but still it wouldn't Work.

I had no choice but to hold down the power button. After pc turned off I tried restarting it, pc started and then turned off automatically. I restarted again and everything is fine. Is the pc broken or is it the update?
