Enigma II shuts down suddenly

I was playing games. It happened twice.
First might be weeks ago, I was playing Sims Medieval about two hours, then the laptop shut down suddenly.
The second time was yesterday. I was playing Civilization IV, about only half an hour, and then it shut down.
When I restarted the laptop after shutting down, everything was all right. I cannot remember between these two shutting downs if I also played some other games.
Does anyone know what's the problem? Is that because the inside temperature was too high?

Could be overheating problem as you mention,check event viewer to see if it recorded anything at time of shutdown.

Nothing in the event viewer. It just says that time the laptop shut down accidently. At the time I restarted the laptop the event showed.

You could try software to keep an eye on temps.
I use gpu z for graphics card & Core temp for cpu.
