EA/Origin/Mythic oddities

Has anyone heard anything about EA/Origin/Mythic being nice and refunding past purchases randomly without request recently?

Just got my credit card statement and in the middle of it I stopped and became baffled, under credits it shows EA.Com/Cs Mythic 37.99 USD @ 1.6187 Inc Fee ..

They've literally given me $37.99 and I have no clue why lol.

The last time I paid anything to EA/Cs Mythic was a three month subscription to Warhammer Online which shut down on 18th December last year, but that sub ended well before that date so can't imagine it would be a refund for that.

I can only assume that when they closed the game down they decided to refund the last paid subscription to anyone subscribed after a certain date and I just about scraped in. It's really odd because they haven't sent me any email explaining or anything, just credited my credit card and my account log on Origin just says "refund - no description".

It's not often you get free money from any game company, but from EA? Wow that must be a miracle lol

I know EA have been forced to ease their policy on refunds. Especially in the EU as they were denying refunds within 14 days, and anyone is entitled to a refund of digital content within 14 days and with good reason. Of course I still got a refund for NFS Rivals months after release

Possibly, I know that it there is some kind of time period where a refund must be given if requested.
