Does anyone have any experience with Palit/GFX card returns with PCSpecialist?

Basically PCS generously RMA'd my GTX770 on Monday as there was a major fault with it. My warranty with PCS was finished as the system was over a year old (nearly two years). However they said that the Graphics Card was still in warranty with the manufacturer. Upon removing and sending the card I realised it was made by Palit. I then looked up the company and saw they were based in Hong Kong. Does this mean my card will be sent all the way back to Hong Kong and then back which could take up to 3-4 weeks?

Does anyone have experience with this situation?

Well it's been sat at 'item received' for the pas two days now so I don't know if it's going to be sent back or not.

I would have thought Palit will have a European branch at least for repairs, I wouldn't have thought they'd all go back to Hong Kong or that would be extremely costly for both them and their customers.

Edit: Just checked their website and they do indeed have a European branch in Germany, so would have thought it'll be sent there.

You could try phoning PCS but from previous threads I think it may take weeks.

Okay thank you I shall have to see what happens with it. I really hope it is no longer than two weeks, fingers crossed!

Oh that's great! I couldn't find any information on Palit. If their Repair branch is in Germany that puts my mind at ease. Thank you for looking that up. :)

Well I haven't heard back from my email I sent last week but today a fault report was generated so I guess it hasn't been sent yet.

Well after receiving an email from the support it now seems that my RMA could take up to the start of the week after next which means the total time of the RMA could be 5 weeks as PCS recieved it on the 3rd of June and it took over a week to be tested by PCS.

I think if I order from them again I will order my own graphics card as I don't fancy ordering with PCS and getting another Palit card.

Well it's the end of the time frame they gave and it's still not here and the only communication I have is when I email them and wait two days... RMA has been going for 5 weeks now.

Good news it has been dispatched today! Throughout the problems I've had, I must say the time it took when it arrived back PCS to the time they dispatched was only an hour which is brilliant.

Date RMA was opened: 1-6-2015
Date RMA was received by PCS: 3-6-2015
Date RMA was dispatched back to me: 7-7-2015

Last time I will post here but just wanted to keep updating the thread so if it came up on Google or on here and someone had the same problem they could get some rough estimates and info.

I installed the graphics card today and it works perfectly. I was sent a brand new card by the manufacturer!

Good good, that should clear the issue. Good news for Palit owners, even though it took some time, at least they did a straight swap out.
