hi guys,
I played the Division beta with no issues -got the Division proper last week and i cant do anything with it. It started off freezing after 20-30 mins play, now it freezes either as soon as i get in the game (ie. no issues on options screen) or crashes to desktop with no warning/error messages. Now, i know the beta was minimal compared to the full game but can that really be it?
specs below and ive updated GPU drivers, rolled back drivers, cleared drivers and then re-installed. ive tried every trick on the all the forums message boards : lowered priority, adjusted affinity (it seemed to hit 100% cpu usage when it froze and this was recommended), disabled/lowered/raised different graphic options in game (VSYNC off/on, lowered resolution, changed resolution without saving change, etc), adjusted NVIDIA control properties...
ive pretty much read every forum i can find and tried every 'fix' so far. For comparison - MGS5, Witcher 3, GTA5, Hitman all run absolutely fine on high/v.high settings.
does anyone have any idea or is it kaput (ie. my laptop not up to it)? If it is the laptop - how easily upgradable is it and what would anyone recommend? RAM and new GPU do it?
thanks, andy
