Disappearing 2nd Hard Drive

Not a big issue, but was wondering if someone could clarify whats happening here.

i have 2 physical drives. After my pc has been sleeping for a while and i go back to it, the 2nd dirve does not appear to be there when i look for it in Explorer. If i reboot, it shows up again.

Anyone got an explaination?

power management options, make sure the drive is not set to turn off after x minutes.

Ahh okay, thanks Gorman, i knew it had to be something like that. Didnt know drives could be set to switch off after a certain time.

2nd Drive is the 2TB WD CAVIAR GREEN WD20EARS, SATA 3 Gb/s, 64MB CACHE so probably has got some sort of power saving parameter set on it. I'll check it out when i get home. Thanks again Gorman
