Wrote this 10 times for different reasons but i keep deleting the topic as it doesn't really make sense for the reason. SO Why is it so hard choosing a PC these days looking for the right one and right make of parts and the right motherboard etc. Any one else been looking for along time and still don't no what to get as i have been looking for the past year.

How do you no what make parts are good like different makes of SSD, graphic cards, motherboard etc. On this site when you can config the PC i have chosen a PC and say for a hard disc i chose 2nd Hard Disk 120GB INTEL® 330 SERIES SSD, SATA 6 Gb/s (upto 500MB/sR | 450MB/sW). I have been copying and pasting the specs and some say change make of SSD to a so and so and other parts as well.

So how do you no your getting your moneys worth if your paying something like £1400.

Personally i look at reviews online in vids, websites etc. Then from that information, make an informed decision over cost an performance :) (can i get something better for cheaper)

Once you have what you think is a good spec, post it here and we'll check it for you :)

You want the SSD as the 1st hdd :)

Quite hard to say. This could be a suggestion on the knows. Each section on the configurator will have a question mark to explain a small thing about the the part/hardware/peripheral. I'm pretty sure you know the basic of them all and main parts. As for finding out the difference in performance/nature/use/make between one another of the same component, I would say the configurator is a good starting point as PCS already shows/stock high quality parts, you could then consider looking up about that component/hardware and learn more about it. Reviews tend to have benchmarks/comparison charts to other similar good components of the same category hardware. An interesting starting point on reviews and hardware is bit-tech. Things will slowly build up to you over time as you read on different components/parts and comparing. Anything not understood or any term/word is usually easily answered and found by googling up the word for its meaning.

Sorry if something doesn,t make sense, hope that helped though.

Remember that on forums there are many different people with different ideas, and many different uses for PC's which is why theres a lot of choice and a lot of options.

You have had at least a few spec suggestions made on your threads, the last one on the last post I found of yours from Vanthus would do perfectly fine with a bit of room for expansion later if required, or the one from mantadog on another of your threads.

You just have to pick one, the more people you ask though, the more diffreing opinions you will get and it will give you more choice but too much choice as you've already found can make things worse :)

The main topic here is why is it so hard. :p. Been looking for ages at other websites too. Its just having the confidence of pressing the buy button.

The members are trying to make it easier for you by suggesting a build for your needs & budget. As Rakk said these can differ, but at the end of the day it's up to you to decide what will be better for you.

I wrote out a post but it got sent for a moderator to check for some reason. So adding to Rakk's comment, hope it helps once it gets released from the moderators jail :)
