Define X1 Clarification and information

Hey guys.

Before I start I just wanted to let people know that currently PC specialist are missing the SSD drive for the DEFINE X1 http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/reviews/ (4th one down) so if you are wishing to order this you may have to wait a bit longer for a SSD as I am.

EDIT: the RAM has been changed due to compatability issues - Change to 16GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 3000 MHz X.M.P (2 x 8GB) from 16GB HyperX SAVAGE DDR4 3000MHz (2 x 8GB Kit)

Just wanted to ask, I have purchased the define X1 and wanted to know does anyone know how well it will handle Twitch streaming + recording at the same time, most likely recording with shadow play from Nvidia

Ah yes, I see that now - thank you.

The one in my ordered PC is larger but slower it would appear. PC Specialist must have changed the specs to reflect drive shortages. Would you wait for the Samsung drive or is the kingston 480 still a good drive?

It's still an excellent drive. To be honest most home users wouldn't really notice the difference between decent SSds. There would be huge benchmark differences and definite performance differences..... not really enough to warrant worrying about though.

I currently have one of the worst SSD drives that can be bought (OCZ Agility 3) yet Windows 7 from a fresh install booted in 11 seconds (not sure about Win10, I haven't timed it yet).

With a SM951 I might have seen 10 seconds, would that affect me though?

Having said all that, I'm still pricing up Laptops with the SM951 (512GB) as I WANT it, just for the sake of having it. I like shiny fast stuff though

Just an update, apparently the current RAM was having compatibility issues so they rang me and asked if they could change it, I said yes proceed.
