Hiya all,
Running a Defiance II, mostly very happy with it - except for recent bios issues - the laptop does not want to turn on, I normally am presented with:
-Black screen
-keyboard lights up
-fans speed up after a while
-screen remains black
-no post beep (I have enabled in the bios previously)
It seems once in a while, after leaving the laptop for a while, it will hit the PCS screen, and let me boot up - into linux via recovery mode.
-Normal boot into linux seems to hang on a black screen
-Normal boot into windows complains about ntoskrnl.exe (or similar, windows kernel issue)
Even when booting sucessfully, there is a long delay before showing the PCS screen, and emitting the boot beep.
Looking inside, I don't see a CMOS battery to reset my bios?
Can anyone point me towards a service manual, info on resetting the bios, or any other information that may help in my situation? If I stay stuck, I'll call PCS and update here.
Thanks!
Laptop model: Celvo p670re6
Additional info: in both windows and linux, holding down a key for a long time (for example W in an online game to move forward) will seem to stay stuck down for a fraction of the time it was originally held
