Looking for a gamer laptop. Have a gaming pc at home but want something to take on the road as well. What do you folks reckon of the specs? Will it be liable to overheat or is the 1070 a bit of overkill. It will probably be getting some use attached to a monitor every now and then but will mainly be laptop screen only.

On a side note I priced this same laptop yesterday and it was €25 cheaper. Do the prices change daily?

Also I have an SSD waiting to go into it and that is why I only ordered it with the 1tb firecudda

Looking forward to your suggestions.

Thanks folks.

They certainly can do.

It depends on whether you need maxed out settings in as many games as possible while on the road or not. If you already have a powerful gaming PC at home, the GTX 1060 would still give quite a lot of gaming performance for your laptop. The 1060 would also run cooler.

I'd consider the Silver warranty

For a mere £5 I think you'd be nuts NOT to consider the silver warranty.

I'd also personally recommend the dead pixel warranty - at least the 30 day one at a minimum. A black (dead) pixel is often easily overlooked but a glowing white or other bright colour is really noticeable and frustrating.

But yeah, at the very least, the silver warranty is a must-have.

Thanks for the heads up guys. Went with the silver warranty as suggested but couldn't change the dead pixel thing. Hopefully it will be ok though. Should have it tomorrow or the day after all going will.
