Custom Graphics Cards

Hello there everyone,
I just thought i would write a small suggestion what i would really like to see.

They are those "custom" Graphics Cards out there from companies like ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte and others that i would really like to see in the custom building option.
Mainly because the stock NIVIDA Graphics Cards are not that great at cooling compared to Gigabyte especially.

Thanks for reading!

Give me your thoughts on this guys!

Regards

I think this has been asked a few times, and, not to burst your bubble, but I wouldn't anticipate they're going to do it anytime soon (unless its been in the works for a while?? :D). They have always allowed the option to install your own graphics cards into their rigs, so anyone wanting a specific brand etc. can get their own and install it no problems :).

Just a note though, PCS supply Palit Cards (typically) for NVidia, and depending on the model, its not always the 'vanilla' card, sometimes you get the Jetstream (oc'd) versions.

you are comparing stock GPUs with non-stock GPUs with better cooling. You can order whichever you want and send it to PCS. As Steaky already mentioned it has been asked before and I don't think it would be added. It could also create a bit of confusion and increase in prices.

I know i could easily install my own, I generally plan to buy PC on website so its all nicely assembled, Also If i was to buy a separate Graphics Cards i would have to have the money ready to be used, but there is a reason i want to take the 11month paying option :p!

I just thought it would be GREAT to have that option!

But the Nividia Graphics Cards have only 1 fan, when usually the other ones have 2 or more. It just makes me worried when i saw 80'C for the GTX 780 ti (No overclock) and what will happen when i over clock it...

Your warranty will be voided and the card will get hotter...

Even the non reference cooled cards run at around 80 degrees under load. That's normal for a 780Ti. As I said it depends on the card you purchase as to what cooler you'd get. The Palit 780Ti (stock) for example does use the reference cooler unfortunately, the Jetstream edition does not. I don't know which version PCS typically supply but I'd guess it was the 'standard' version.

Wait... Does overclocking leave any "signs" ?

Since there is software to increase the Mhz but as soon as PC goes off they reset.

I would not risk in any way losing my warranty, i thought that it's just an interesting topic!

Anyway, thanks for your guys comments and i still have a small hope they would add them!

Some brands will not void your warrnty by the act of overclocking, however, if your overclocking damages the card then you will lose your manfacturer warranty. If you know what you are doing, crack on. But if not, id avoid overclocking.

I did purchase my gtx780 separately and fitted it myself they are easy to fit and my temperatures on the graphics card rarely goes above fifty degrees. I've never bothered overlooking as for gaming I haven't needed to.

Yes that's ultra settings on bf4 at 1080 and other games such as space engineers maybe the storm trooper case with additional fans helps but my card the gainward ghl phantom is renouned for running cool and quiet an epic card

Going to do some gaming tests in a minute but for now ran a GPU Bench Test programme called Furmark which is a burn in test at 1080P, 8XMSAAA frames were 31 but more importantley managed to get the temps peaking at 71 Degrees with the Fan speed running at 51%

OK finally got my Son to play BF4 he's been playing this for a couple of hours at ultra settings, 1080 resolution and the peak GPU Temperature was 66 degrees, not touching any fan settings settings or overclocking the card
