Hi. i'v just recieved my laptop from pcs today. its a Vortex IV core i7 4800 . gtx 780m, 8g RAM.i wanted to put it to the test so i try to install the hardware killer crysis 3 on it. with all specs to very high .AA = msaa x1
, AF = 16x ,1080p. right around the beginning of the game. im getting from 14-20 frames under the rain. all my drivers are up to date. im just asking if this is the framerate to be expected or should it be abit higher?
has anyone mess around in this game with the roughly same specs? how did you do . plz share so i can have an ideal :)
( tbh, i was expecting 25 frames . base on notebook review on the 780m with a i7 4700 running on very high , :)

Hi u2I, I suggest you start a new thread for your problem, it's usually better to have one problem per thread. :)

All the drivers for your Vortex can be downloaded from the Clevo website, you need to look up your Clevo model number on the label on the bottom of you laptop. If any devices show up in Device Manager with a yellow triangle and exclamation mark then you are almost certainly missing drivers. If the Hotkey software doesn't start then you're either missing drivers or there's a problem with your Windows install.

I know ive posted this time and time again but here is a Vortex 3 video of mine for comparision. You should be doing slightly better than this. But baring in mind these were specific drivers on a matured card.

Just tone down some of the settings a little bit, a lot of them won't make a difference in how the game looks and are very demanding. Turn things like 'water' to high, this usually demands a lot from the shader cores and is a lot to process. And also put things like 'particles' and 'shading' to high, these should give you some extra fps. To give it a smoother feel, add motion blur if it isn't already on

This morning I was getting 10 more frames with the exact scene. It's weird. I didn't think my laptop was too hot last night since I didn't throw anything at it
Well it's kidda relieve, nothing has gone wrong yet with my vortex
@ ubuysa: thank you , I hope after installing the 3.0 USB driver, I'll have my beautiful backlit keyboard up and running xD

Right at the start of the game (when you take control) I was averaging about 30FPS or so (Very High, SMAAx1). Turning everything down to "High", shadows on medium and Objects on Very high saw Framerates anywhere between 40 and 80FPS. No obvious difference to the visuals (probably noticable in static shots) and overall very smooth.

For reference at stock I score 7888 in 3DMark11.

My specs are: P170SM (17.3") Vortex / IV4700MQ / GTX780m / 16GB DDR3 / SSD etc
