Crossfire Help

Hi all

Need some urgent help! I have recently added an addititional 6870 graphics card and now have a crossfire setup on my PC. My computer recognizes the two card but on Catalyst control it won't let me enable crossfire!! As soon as i select enable crossfirex it gives me this message "Your settings have not been applied" and then unchecks it. Can anyone please assist me with this? I am running the 11.8 preview drivers...

Yes mate, acutally had it installed by PC World. It's using the croofire bridge. On Device manager it does recognize both cards too!!

Are they both the same card with same brand? I'm not too clued up on crossfiring, have ya googled it?

They're different brands mate. It does work now but for some strange reasons have worse performance on Crysis and F1 but better on Witcher 2?!?!?

i think as long as they are the same card it should be all good. I have no idea about the performance issues.

Google crossfire issues on crysis?

Hi Supermaniacs,

Having looked through your original specs you posted in November ish, which motherboard did you go for in the end?
Cos if you went for the M4A87TD/USB3 one, it doesn't support Crossfire (as confirmed by PCS at the end of the thread I was looking at).

Many thanks for your assistance. I indeed did change my motherboard to a ASUS® P7P55 LX: USB 2.0 & SATA 3.0Gb/s, CrossFireX™ SUPPORT! I have seen some improvements on maybe one or two games, but games like F1 or any Crysis games are unplayable, with worse fps than a single 6870!! I looked at gpuz and it seems to be the case that the second gpu load does not exceed 3%!! It enables crossfire on CCC with 11.8 drivers, but if i try 11.7 it just does not enable it!

Help!!
