Cosmos IV £599 price

Hi all,

I am looking at the model of Cosmos IV here: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/reviews/ (second one down). I note that the price of the reviewed model is £599, and that this cannot be configured without incurring a penalty.

The 'Order Now' button does offer a choice between Windows 10 or Windows 8.1, but I do not require an operating system. I could 'Configure' it and remove the operating system, but with the penalty this does not offer much of a saving. I am wondering if anybody has any experience buying a reviewed PCS system without the operating system? If I can choose between versions of Windows then I'm wondering why it shouldn't in theory be possible to supply it without the OS at all.

I am wondering if anyone has any experience of ordering one of the 'Reviewed' models without an OS?

In theory it should be possible to remove the OS as I don't believe they are pre built, however for that you would need to phone the call centre and see if they are able to manually adjust that for you without taking the hit on the price.

Number is in my sig, they are normally fairly accommodating but I don't know if they will be able to do it or not.
