COSMOS II BIOS update to enable VT-x?

Hi all,

One thing I need this laptop to do is to be able to run virtualisation environments like VirtualBox / VMWare / Hyper-V, and all these need the Intel VT-x feature to be enabled.

The processor is a 4710MQ which does support VT-x (it doesn't support VT-d but I'm not worried about that).

The BIOS I have does not have any setting that allows me to enable or disable VT-x.

Is there an updated BIOS that will allow me to enable VT-x?

Any other way I can enable it?

Thanks,
Richard

If you need an updated BIOS I know PCS can give you the latest version. Other than that its way above my head.

Have you tried running it? Mine has it all enabled (although it's not adjustable in the bios) running HyperV
