cosmetic damage

hey guys,

has anyone ever contacted pcs regarding cosmetic damage?

I know it won't be under the warranty, and am prepared to pay the costs but was just wondering if anyone has ever had any experience, or know whether it is offered?

I have only read about it if it happened in transit. Is it your case?

If you caused the damage yourself it wont be covered under your warranty however you might be able to get replacement parts (either from PCS / manufacturer of your case).

What case do you have?

Hi guys,

It's not a desktop, it's a laptop unfortunately . The 'inferno'.

I've not had much luck looking for replacement parts but realized that pcs might be able to do something at cost, and was just wondering if anyone had any experience in this regard.

Ah man, that's a bummer. Give PCS a call they will be able to give you better advice on this I think

I called in and was told that I could set up an RMA for it to get it looked at. The marks themselves are actually very very minor, but I know I've handled the laptop with kid gloves so I'm almost certain I haven't caused them.

I do have a problem though, my order is listed as "awaiting dispatch" which it obviously isn't as I collected it last weekend! And as such I cannot set up an RMA. Could the powers that be possibly correct the status so I can fill out the RMA forms?

Send PCS an email/give them another ring (phone lines are closed now so it would need to wait till Monday I think). See if they can sort that out - it normally doesn't take a week to update your order status though!
