Connecting to Wi-Fi... PCI Card

OK, so i'm not too good at knowing all the details of computer componets. I have ordered a computer with the;
GIGABIT LAN & WIRELESS 802.11N 300Mbps PCI CARD

At my house I have wireless broadband,and will need to connect to the hub via Wi-Fi. I presume I will be able to connect to my Wi-Fi hub using the PCI card above?

It has only just daunted on me that I might need ethernet cabling all the way to my computer?

Yes, you should be able to connect using the PCI wi-fi card, no cabling required.

Is that type of connection as reliable as a cable connection is? Is it also same quick? Thank you

Cable connection is the best,followed by(dare I say) homeplugs then wireless.
