Turned my desktop on today and got this message, tried everything to get rid of it. Tried to get into the reboot menu but i'm left with a black screen! Any ideas?
What OS were you expecting to boot? BASH is a Unix/Linux shell. Are you dual booting? Perhaps this is a Unix boot manager that's become corrupted somehow?
What were you doing before this reboot? As Ubuysa says, bash is a unix shell command which has recently been included in a Windows 10 anniversary preview.
Options are, you were testing a windows 10 install, you've got a linux based bootable usb key (recovery key) plugged into a usb, or you've got a seriously nasty virus.
Its not actually my computer, its a friends and he would have no idea on how to install Windows 10. All he used it for was to browse the web and play Football Manager, that is it.

From what I've read, that bash command is part of a linux boot program that's a workaround to licensing windows 7. If this is the case I'm afraid I can't be of any help as it's against forum rules.
