Comments on my 3070 build in Corsair 680X case

Any thoughts on this build?
Will mostly be for gaming at 1440p, 144hz.
Once availability improves, will be looking to replace GPU with a 3080.

I have not ordered an extra fans, does anyone have experience with this case and the stock fans?

Added the configurable link, but I have made a number of changes from the original order and these do not show up under this link?

Seems like a really solid start, if you include the configurable link we can make some suggestions

You can remove the extra thermal paste as the Corsair cooler will come with it's own very high quality paste and to apply the Arctic MX4 they'll have to remove the Corsair paste and well it just leaves a lot of room for error which is not needed

The front fans on the 680X are LL120s, so very good ones. I don't think you'd realistically want to be replacing them.

The build in your link is a 5800X and 3080 one -- is that what you are suggesting?

Also, your maximum budget, monitor and what you're using the machine for (e.g. streaming, video editing, etc.) would be helpful.

This is what I'd be looking for, you don't need a 3080 for 1440p mate that would be a waste of a 3080 and your cash. To make use of the 3080 you'd need a monitor like the Samsung G9

So I've changed the motherboard to something more suitable to the 5800X

Change your whole storage set up to something that makes more sense and costs the same

Upped the PSU and added the best CPU Cooler available, removed the extra thermal paste as it's more likely to cause problems than help considering the pre applied paste on the CPU cooler

Added a better Wifi card that comes with Bluetooth and removed the Anti Virus as Windows Defender is free with Windows and as good as any out there all the while saving you £300 quid

Solid fans, the LL120's. Only issue with them, maybe from the pov of RGB perfectionists, is that they aren't as visible from both angles/exhaust side as some other Corsair fans (HD, QL and SP Elite ones for example) Of course, if they're backed up against an AiO rad etc it's not such an issue.
As an aside, the other Corsair fans I mentioned might also differ in terms of Db and CFM but not by a huge amount. Some tweaking of fan profiles should make up any gap well.

This is very useful re fans/RGB setups aso...

Ordered a 3070 build and previously chose the CORSAIR CRYSTAL SERIES 680X RGB GAMING CASE as I had height constraints where the PC would be placed. This will no longer be an issue, so I wondered what case recommendations anyone had in terms of aesthetics and functionality.
The 680X does appear to be a great case, but since I have the option of changing, wondered if anyone has any thoughts?

I would personally stick with the 680x, it’s a phenomenal case

Hi Mate, I don't know why you'd want to change the 680x it's a fantastic case but these would be the options that you could change into? I personally would keep the 680x
