CLEVO W150HRM - Keyboard doesn't work while laptop battery plugged in
Hi there,
I've had my laptop for around 2.5 years and have had no problems with it at all (still was working like a dream until today).
Basically, I've done some troubleshooting and found that my laptop keyboard does not work while the battery is plugged in from boot. This doesn't appear to be a driver issue as the keyboard doesn't work within BIOS menu while the battery is plugged in, but as soon as it is inserted into the laptop, the keyboard stops working again. This is the case within both the BIOS and the operating system (Windows 7).
As this occurs in the BIOS before anything else has loaded up I'm guessing it is a hardware issue rather than software, but it is something I've never come across before - has anyone else had this happen in the past? Can anyone make suggestions on what the problem may be?
I'm perfectly happy to take apart a workstation / PC (I'm an IT technician) however I'd rather not take apart my laptop as it's so small and fiddly, I'd rather not get it wrong and make things worse (if it was a tower I'd just open the case and start changing things around).
Any feedback or help will be really appreciated
