Choice of Graphics Card

Hi I am going to buy a desktop utilizing an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 with 16 GB RAM. I don't play games but do occasional photo and video editing using Adobe Premier Elements. I am unsure as to what if any Graphics card to buy. Although Adobe PE doesn't mandate a video card I can't help but think it will be advantageous. And you never know one day I might play a game! I am using a quite old samsung S24C570HL 24" FHD monitor, but this will likely need replacing in the next year. I am looking for something cost effective but worth buying. I was toying with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 but I am not sure I need something this powerful for my use. If I want something less expensive would something like the AMD Radeon RX 550 be a good alternative, or perhaps the GEFORCE GT 1030.

Routinely I connect a single monitor, but the flexibility to add another would be good but is not essential

Apparently adobe PE doesn’t use hardware acceleration, so strictly relies on CPU, so a basic GPU would suffice for that.

mid you were considering gaming, the 1650 would be fine for that at 1080p 60Hz.

Just for PE you’d get more benefit upgrading the processor to the 3700x and lowering the gpu.

TBH, in this day and age it seems odd not to have an M2 drive as the primary drive in place of the SATA SSD. They’re not much more cost for around 4 x the speeds.

Maldonado did you realise you have no wireless on that build?

Thanks for the advice. I don't need wireless the desktop is in the same room as the router so i use ethernet. M2 drives are new to me i will research them thanks
