Hi all,

I would appreciate any comments, feedback, suggestions that anyone has to make on this spec.
I am aiming to use this for graphic design, video editing, 3d modelling and animation, game and web development - pretty much I am expecting it to be a workhorse.

Faster RAM, faster RAM! Don't cheap out for cooler, change Wifi to a slightly more expensive AX as it has a Bluetooth and support 5 Ghz. Also, get rid of Bullguard antivirus ;)

You will want to keep the fans the same type, but are out of stock atm. But they will be back, so amend your order at a later date

Thanks Steveyg, Citrus_9 and Ash_. I think I can incorporate most of the suggestions into the build, but I will need to change the casing [Corsair 4000D Airflow, perhaps??], as a number of the others will not support additional fans. Regardless of the casing I choose, I always receive an info warning that the radiator will occupy 2 x 120mm internal fan slots on the roof of the case. I am going to assume that that is just standard.

In a 4000D it will occupy the 2 roof slots. This will leave you 4 slots, however 2 will be taken by preinstalled fans (stupidly) and you can only buy corsair LL120’s in 3 or 5 packs from pcs. So you can either not add them and then phone to add them and ask them to remove one or you can buy your own and install them (it’s not difficult, but they will be more expensive). For LL fans, i’d honestly recommend the 5000X, if you want ML or QL then the airflow is the way to go.

Except the LL120's are out of stock and it seems as though the available fans are incompatible with the processor cooler.

Swap the samsung 970, even if you go down to a 500gb 980. 970 is gen 3, 980 is gen 4.

Also really you’ll want a better PSU (RMx1000) and probably a better board, although the Strix may get away with it, with all the extra fans. Not sure the sound card will be getting you much extra value either, however i’m really not an expert with soundcards.

Other than that, looks good

Yeah just a couple notes, thermal paste isn't needed as the CPU cooler will come with a very high standard paste

The sound card is fantastic but really only needed if you do a lot of sound editing or high quality is very important to you. Sound cards on motherboards are very good these days as standard and can output great quality.

But hey if it's in your budget and you like it go nuts

Ideally yes, but the difference between them, isn’t as big as say the Gigabyte gaming X (not sure why this board is even an option) and the Strix.
