CHECK THIS SPEC - ADVICE NEEDED

Hi All

I am considering buying a new gaming PC as my existing one is dying, I mainly play First Person Shooters/Battle Royale games, some strategy games. I also use the PC for home office use and use Zoom/Teams extensively.

I currently have an Asus Rog PG258Q Monitor.

The spec shown fits my budget and Id like to not spend too much more but am interested to understand whether there are any tweaks I could make to the config to ensure the longevity of the spec to play games as long as possible with this setup.

Thanks very much for the response. Since I posted I have read the forums extensively, I read the post you quoted above (so I'm convinced on the AMD dominance) but also on the details about what gfx card best suits my monitor. On that basis I decided that I would wait for the 3060ti as even the 3070 seems like overkill for my existing monitor (unless I misunderstood the details on that). I also no longer need the OS as I can transfer the existing license I have and Im looking at spending the money I save on 4 x 8gb RAM as long as the Motherboard is the right type?

I know I may have to wait a bit for the card to be available but Im prepared to wait for the right one, I'm open to persuasion on this if I have chosen a gfx card which isn't the best for my needs.

Just on the SSD drive in the quote above, do you think the extra cost of the Samsung I had in mine did'nt warrant the extra cost or was there another reason to change that?
