Changing my GPUs

At the moment I have 2x EVGA ACX SC 760s, I'm temped to sell them (think I can get around £100 for each of them) and buy 2x960s, which will cost around £320, so only have to spend £120 extra.

Do you guys think it's worth it?

Not really worth it IMO. I haven't had time to look up the performance figures on the 960's and all the new tricks they bring over the 760's but for £120 id say its not. If you were upgrading so say a single 980 (which is a good bit more than a couple of 960's I think) to get away from any noise or heat issues then id say it would be worth it, but unless you desperately need more gaming horsepower then id opt to put the £120 away in a jar fro the next new build or for a significantly better GPU combo.

That's what I was thinking. The biggest advantages are the heat/noise/power reduction and the overclocking potential. Think i'll probably wait until DX12 and see how the whole SLI VRAM works out, since the 2GB I have at the moment isn't brilliant on all games. I would definitely consider the 960s if I know the SLI VRAM works on all games, if not then I might wait and get something like a 980 or just buy the next GPU series they bring out

Even a single 970 would be a more worthwhile choice i would say.

Then you still giving yourself the opportunity to SLI that at a later date.

My 760s perform better than a 970, so it's not really an option unless I bought two of them straight away, but that's too expensive :p

Yeah, you have a point.

I changed from my GTX970's to GTX980's and to be honest at 1080 there is very little difference between the 2. The GTX970's perform excellent at 1080. (I only SLI when im extreme gaming)

With that in mind unless your looking to take advantage of the new tech within the GTX9X0 range i would probably stick with the GTX760's especially if they are still coping with games at the moment. Maybe we will see some TI's

Yeah, i'll probably end up sticking with them. Was more just an idea, since I could afford it, but don't think it's worth it, unless DX12 does let all games use all VRAM, then the 960s would probably be worth looking at

Yeah the stacking VRAM would be a boost but no harm in waiting and seeing the proof first
