Case and motherboard - any reasons to not go for the cheapest ones here? For flight simming.

Looking for a decent system for flight simulation (xplane, FSX), that gives a good bang for buck. Researching FSX and xplane, I see that a decent i5 is good enough so decided to save on not going for an i7. I went for the cheapest case and motherboard, but was forced to up the power supply and cooling from the minimums due to my CPU choice. Just one nice big SSD should be fine (went for Seagate because they've served me well in the past, never heard of ADATA). Also a blu-ray drive could be handy for some movie ripping and burning.

Key questions:

Is there any reason to choose a more expensive motherboard and case? I'm not bothered what it looks like, and no plans to overclock or upgrade further for a good few years.

I intend to use 3 22->32 inch monitors, I understand the single displayport on the GPU can be daisychained. Is this right, or would I be better off picking a GPU with multiple HDMI or DP outputs?

Would it likely be good enough for VR if any decent VR flight sims ever become available?

Are there any areas I could save a bit of money?

Cases affect airflow, not just the number of fans but the kind of fans they ship with and the overall design of the case. I wouldn't recommend less than the Fractal Focus G from the current offerings.

Rather than the Barracuda SSD, the SX6000 from the M.2 SSD Drive menu is faster and a similar price I believe.

Adata is a major SSD/RAM brand, and have been doing SSDs longer than Seagate have tbh.

I don't play flight sims, but my general understanding from those who do especially with FSX is that you want the best, fastest CPU you can get your hands on. So the i7 or i9. If going for the i7 or i9 I'd probably switch to the 'cheap' gigabyte board for the better VRMs.

Also, 3000MHz RAM is probably worth getting.

Consider the 550W PSU as it will open up more GPU upgrade options.
