Can't view bios via external DisplayPort monitor

Hi,

I have a 15.6" Octane Series Laptop with an RTX 2060.

I can access and view the bios with the inbuilt laptop screen, but when I use an external monitor using DisplayPort the bios is not shown on boot, so cannot access it. On boot, the screen goes blank until Windows reaches the login screen.

Is there any way to access the boot screen whilst using an external monitor?

Thanks

I very much doubt it. The second screen is driven by Windows, I doubt the BIOS can see it.

Nope, dont think any external monitor (driven off a Laptop) will show the BIOS screen. Is there a specific issue that you are trying to resolve?

The only way, that I have seen this be done, is by disconnecting the built-in screen from the motherboard so that the system sees the external monitor as the only display.

Naturally, it goes without saying that I, and everyone in this forum, absolutely do not recommend that you do this as it will invalidate your warranty.
