Hi All, first post of may to come. Im a signamaker and use Mac and PC's for my RIP and design software. Ive decided to buy a custom spec PC to last me a few years. We are having a NAS storage system installed after Christmas so treated myself to a new machine. Ive two new 28in 4k monitors id like to set up for dual screen. Can someone with more indepth knowledge have a look at the spec for me. I think its ace but what do you guys n gals think. Open to advice before i click the BUY button. Cheers in advance.

I would strongly advise going down a different path. That's really not a good platform at all and there are a number of changes that would be recommended.

If you have a look here you will see some of the information that we require. Please take some time to look over it and feed back with the budget, software, etc, etc.

You would be aiming for either a high end Ryzen build or a high end 12000 series Intel build.

Hi Scott, thanks very much for your feedback. Our primary use is 2d design for sign making and large format printing. The main software used will be Scanvec Amiable Flexisign & Adobe illustrator. I will be RIPing print jobs to 2 large format printers and 2 vinyl plotters. The computer must be quick in terms of RAM and HD space doesn't need to be astronomical as we are having a NAS system installed but id like SSD drives. The computer must be very current and last a good few years before updating hardware is needed. Our budget is £2000 - £2300. Ive 2 4k HDMI connected monitors that id like to be able to use with the desktop. Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated.

This would be pretty overkill for those uses but hey the budget is there, the only question I would have is on the GPU. Are you doing any editing at all or it just for display reasons? We can make even more savings here or I could rejig the build to off a better GPU if required.

If it's just to display 2D images then this build should handle those uses no problem
