Hi.....I'm a little worried about my gpu temps......For example....playing tomb raider 2013 on ultra I'm getting around 100-110 fps which I'm really happy about....But....one of my 680m's gets to 93 degrees ( the other one much lower..around 75 degrees. I'm just worried that it will kill my gpu prematurely. I tried turning on vsync so it runs at 60fps hoping that it drastically lowers the gpu temps, but it doesn't really do much. These temps get that high after only a few mins of gameplay too. I've cleaned out the exhausts so it can't be dust.
Would lowering graphics presets help with temps( although that's defeating the object of having a high end gaming laptop)?
Is 93 degrees acceptable?
The laptop is only 6 months old. And I use a laptop cooler too(cooler master )

I'd be interested if any other of you guys have the same worries and/or ways to improve temps.

My spec....i7 3840QM.....16gb ram.....2x680m sli vortex 3 elite.
Totally stock.....no mods whatsoever.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

You could consider a repaste of thermal paste on both GPUs. Your gpu should be able to stand 93 degrees but it seems quite high, is it average or the highest it gets?

Hi Keynes...
Re paste!!! Really? Even after only 6 months? And I'm not a hardcore gamer. I am very much just a casual gamer and don't get too much time to cane this beast. I could maybe understand it if I was gaming for hours on end everyday, but I really only game for around 6 hrs a week.
And as for the temps...that's normally the highest it gets....think i may of seen 94 before though.

What temps do you get? Presuming you have a similar setup to me?

Regards
