buying on finance

Yeah that's fine to do, you can make payments anytime in the 12 months before your monthly installments

Just to reiterate. you will need to make the payments as specified in the finance deal. You won't be able to pay £0/month for 11 months.

Mine says I can make any or no installments up to the 12 months, if it's not fully paid for it'll take monthly payments from there with the extra interest?

I retract my previous posts as it seems the finance deal has changed since I last looked! Apologies @Snsbayayyagafaa and @TomBerry for any confusion!

I'll edit my previous posts to ensure I don't confuse anyone else.

For a £2000 example https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/finance-results/2000/

Representative Example: Buy Now Pay Later (12 Months / 60)
Price: £2,000.00
Deposit: £20.00
Total Amount of Credit: £1,980.00
Interest Rate: 11.24% Fixed
Deferred Period: Nothing to pay for 12 months (If you pay off the remaining balance of £1,980.00 during this period no interest will be charged, however a one-off early settlement fee of £29.00 will apply).
Monthly Installments: 48 installments of £64.43 per month.
Representative APR: 16.9 % APR Representative
Total Charge For Credit: £1,112.64
Balance Payable: £3,092.64
Total Amount Payable (Inc. Deposit): £3,112.64

So from the above, you pay your deposit which looks like you can vary then there is nothing to pay for 12 months. If you want to pay off at the end of this period it would be £1980+29 to pay at month 12.

If you don't pay off the balance within this period you'll be paying £64.43 per month for 48 months (totaling £3112.64)
