Budget gaming build

I've been talking to my fiancée's brother, who is wanting his first real gaming PC. He's got a maximum of £700 to spend so have been fiddling with the configurator here. I'm trying to work out decent performing machine that has a bit of upgrade flexibility for future. With that in mind I've thought getting an i3 for now might be a good way to go.
Here's something I thought might be ok, but would like to get some opinions on what to build at this price

Ah cool, I never found and FX option when looking before, only the A series.
I had exactly the same issue until I realized that on the site if you picked "Performance Computers" you only got the A series while the FX were under "Top Spec Computers" :)

Now the FX range are an option, I've been checking performance and reviews. It looks to me like an i3-4130 would give similar gaming performance to the 6300, and not really much slower than the 8350, but with a lower power use and what looks to be a better upgrade path. Hmmm

When you overclocked the FX-6300 it could offer similar performance to an i5, it also has more cores than an i3.
