exactly. i can't go over at all really. just wanted to make sure it'd do me good. also just one question about not adding windows 10. do i just get unlicensed version for now?

If you pick No OS, it's an unlicenced test version of Windows which you're expected to reinstall and add your own genunie code to. If you don't have one, you'll have to factor it into the price. If you have a pre-existing Windows PC you can transfer the licence from that which would be free and would save you that cost and isn't a process that is especially difficult to do these days?

For a smidge over £1500, this is what I'd recommend

I have a pc and a laptop both with windows 10, do i just need the windows media recovery thingy do reinstall? and i think i'll go with that case over my other one then. thank you so much for the advice! and one last thing is that if i upgrade my psu to the 750w would that be okay? i don't plan on doing much upgrading in the near future :D

Pretty much, you'll want to make sure your key is connected with your Microsoft account, then once you do the USB media installation re-install, you just log in with that account. We can walk you through it if you're needing assistance

it's up to you. The idea of going with a higher wattage PSU is that it allows you to upgrade the system over time getting better value from your system instead of needing to buy a new one when you need an upgrade. It's a move I'd highly suggest for you and your wallet in the long term, but it's up to you. If you plan on doing no upgrades (which again, isn't the idea behind a PC like this) , NVIDIA recommend 650W for the 3060TI

it's up to you. i plan on upgrading later on (a few years or 6months perhaps) so maybe i'll go with the 750w for now? again thank you so much for all your advice even if i'm not taking it (sorry) means a lot :DD

What were you planning on upgrading in 6 months? This PC shouldn't need upgrading for a good couple of years. Nevertheless, if you plan on upgrading at any point, I'd recommend at least a 750W.

Obviously, if you transfer your Windows licence from an existing PC or laptop, you won’t be able to use that. If you can’t transfer Windows, you are as well adding Windows to the order. Be aware that cheap keys available online are not legal keys and can cause you all kinds of problems.

You're making a huge mistake with the PSU btw. I know that @JUNI0R has tried to gently direct you onto the right path but I don't think you're fully appreciating just how much of a task it will be to upgrade.

If you decided that you wanted to absolutely max out your monitor down the line you would want at least the 3070 in there, if the naming convention is as planned.... lets say it's the 4070 that you go for.

With the current trends and the expected power requirements that's going to need at least a 850w PSU in the mix to cover the requirements.

You're saving around £10 now (£20 if you're opting for the cheaper TXm PSU) that's going to cost you ITRO £140 to buy new further down the line. Not to mention the absolute PAIN it is to replace a PSU if you don't currently have a compatible modular setup (Ie you opt for the TXm).

We don't make anything or get anything for offering you this advice so don't think that we are attempting to up-sell you. We're trying to save you £100s down the line along with a ton of agro.

In your shoes I would actually bite the bullet and just get the 1000W RMx, knowing fine well nothing you ever throw at the system is going to need more. This is what I fully intend to do with my next system.

FYI, I bought a 750w PSU around 8 years ago. I didn't have a GPU at that time and my power requirements were around 250W. I did this knowing full well that a PSU will easily last 10 years without breaking sweat and wanted to ensure that I would be able to cover any upgrades I did down the line. It's still going strong 3 systems later and will only be retired on the next outing due to the monstrous power requirements of modern day systems.

It was literally just a couple of years ago that you'd be laughed at for putting an 850W unit in a build. Look at us today, with the release of the 3090TI 850W isn't even enough :eek:
