Bluray Rewriter drive so slow to kick into action

I have an LG bluray drive in my system received yesterday. Whilst it seems to work fine and burn etc. It takes a long time to get going. I'll put a cd or dvd in and it can take 30 secs to a minute for autoplay or launch. Is this a windows 10 glitch (being not mature OS and all). Just seems pretty lousy. Its an LG drive HL-DT-ST BD-RE BH16NS40

I'm not sure of the reason for the delay but personally I always turn autoplay off completely. Its an easy way in for malware.
