If i ever did buy parts for a new PC instead of buying one already built and confugured. When you buy motherboards on there own and not been configured do you have to do it your self and also depending on what PSU you got would you have to alter the power settings etc. Or would it be ok just run and not bother with the bios?.

Would you have to put the correct voltage in the bios for a certain PSU wattage?. Say you got a 750wat PSU would you have to set the bios right for that wattage and same if you got a 1000wat PSu you would have to set it right in the bios for that?.

In short, no and no.

The motherboard will come with the BIOS working and ready to go. As your motherboard is only designed for a limited number of CPU's all the settings for those are already stored on your motherboard ready to use. Everything else your going to be attaching to the motherboard will already be set to work on the standard your connecting it to. Say your connecting a SATA HDD to a SATA port on your motherboard, it will just kind of work. You just need to be careful with what your buying and make sure you get what your looking for. It should all be plug and play, after a quick driver installation ofcourse.

The PSU will only supply what is needed, your motherboard has no control over the PSU. I think what you are getting confused by is the CPU voltage, which is not something you need to touch unless your an overclocker.
