BIOS firmware

Is anyone aware if PCS install the latest BIOS firmware on to the mobo before shipping?

I'm not sure, but I think a PC may not have the latest BIOS - however the latest BIOS is not always the one you'd want to have if it introduced issues or hasn't been widely tested yet. You can ask PCS for what they say and let us know

Thanks for that. In my experience PCS are very helpful in this area. If you know there is a BIOS update available then do talk to PCS, they will tell you whether the update contains anything necessary for your specific build.
