BF3 Installation Error

Morning all,

I am getting the following error: DirectX Setup Eroor: An internal error occurred.

RESOLVED

If anyone gets the following error, follow these steps:

Go into your origin folder and battlefield3/installer/directx/redist and move all the files out EXCEPT dxsetup, dxsetup.dll and dsetup32.dll and it installed just fine for me.

Instead of moving, you can delete.

The frustration continues...

I am getting the following error: DirectX Setup Eroor: An internal error occurred.

I believe i have installed the latest DirectX so i dont think thats the problem.

I have looked for solutions on the net but with no success.

Anyone had this before and know how to rectify it?

I have downloaded the game, but near the end of installation i get the error.

I just found this but i cant workout how to move the files, only delete Advice:

Edit: found the same solution but this time it said to delete the files.

I see why people get frustrated with this game now. I have downloaded and installed the game but now it wants me to install a further 5GB of updates. Im going to have to extend my broadband usage i think!
