Hi all,

I currently have a single Gtx 560 Ti 1024Mb (Standard make that comes from Pc Spec). In the near future I am looking to purchase another one to combine in SLI. I am interested to know which model would be the best as there is a price range from roughly £150 to £250 for the different makes.

Would appreciate replies and will be checking back regularly.

Simon.

I believe PCS use Palit cards. If you ring up, or get PCS to comment on here, you should be able to order one from them. THen you know definately that it will work :)

I thought any two Cards will work together as long as they were the same model and memory?

Yeah, should do, but I think they have to be the same producer though. Give PCS a call, their prices are very good and the warranty with it will be invaluable. You will also know that you got the right thing!

They can be SLI'd if they are made by different manufacturers.
However if you get both from the same manufacturer, you will be guaranteed that everything matches exactly, rather than hoping :)

what rakk says!

Also two Palit cards would match and look better! Looks being important ofcourse.

I've got exactly the same card as you and I'm also considering adding a second one - mine is the most basic of the 3 Palit 560 Ti 1GB cards available so I'm hoping its not too expensive! Have discovered that I quite enjoy gaming on the PC!

Ok So say if it turns out that the Palit 560 Ti 1Gb is quite expensive/hard to get hold of, would it still work if I brought say and ASUS 560 Ti 1Gb with a slightly higher clock speed and put the new card in the primary slot and moved the Palit card to the secondary slot?

with a different clock, no, it would most likely either clock down that card, making the extra cost pointless or overclock your card when its not recommended

phone up PCS and they can send you a Palit one which will be identical, unless they are using something else at the moment, but you can always wait

Im happy for it to Oc my Palit card, I just need someone to confirm that this will happen as obviously it would be pointless for it to down clock it...

i'd do what wozza says, go for another palit card. will avoid complications.

Called PCS and i must say the guy I spoke to has to have been the most helpful sales advisor ever. Gave them my order number, within seconds he knew exactly what I had and exactly what I needed, so I have a second 560Ti 1gb in the post :)

Thanks for the help people.
