very nice, price is good too. I'm looking to order the same, but 17" and agility 3 120gb ssd. When are you expecting to get it?

It's on it's second working day and on pre-production, so really anything from 5 to 10 working days time. I'll re-post here when I've got it. I would have loved a SSD but couldn't afford one and I only chose the 15" so it would fit in my rucksack - I have to cycle to university.

I have been obsessively refreshing the status page all day. I probably will tomorrow too, and the next day...!

I found that doing that made me depressed.. Not seeing it moving until the 7th working day, then it all got kicked into motion

Can't quite believe it - laptop has been dispatched and this is the 4th working day.
There can't have been the 24-48 hour testing period in this time. Not that I'm complaining about super fast service!
Does the testing not need to be done for as long on laptops? I feel stupid asking such a simple question, but I'm confused and delighted at the same time!

Jup, mine got dispatched at the end of 4th working day as well.

Hope Carl Auckland has done proper testing regarding this.

If your order status says In Quality Control, this means that your order has been tested and is now in our "hot room" where the system will remain for at least 24 - 48 hours (2 - 48 hours for laptops) until we are satisfied that the system has passed our quality and performance checks. The "hot room" ensures the components in your system are "burned in" and that the system performs correctly before dispatch.

No idea why laptops can be tested over a shorter period but it looks like they are
