Aux port incredibly tight

I received my Vortex IV review spec today and I have one gripe. The headphone port is incredibly tight. I've used machines where it is a snug fit and holds the headphones well but I'm sure it is never meant to be this tight. It takes a fair force to get the headphones in and it is a nightmare to get out. I'm positive if I pulled the cable it would break before coming free so I have to pinch the jack and try and twist it while pulling as hard as possible - it takes a good few minutes to get out and I'm sure its doing no good for my headphones or the laptop.

On the surface this may seem like a petty complaint but it is doing my head in as I have a very good pair of headphones I take everywhere and it simply isn't feasible to struggle with this several times a day and I would be very annoyed to spend 1.5k on a laptop and have to leave a cheap pair of headphones plugged in to it constantly. Originally I thought putting the headphones in and out a bunch of times might loosen it but I don't think its feasible and wont necessarily help.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Actually at the moment I cannot get the headphones out no matter how I try so I will be going to the gym with no music :(

Sounds a bit weird - I too have a vortex iv and have not noticed a problem.. with the risk of being patronising, are you sure you have the right one? failing that is there any obvious obstruction?

Yes definitely the right port lol, and no sign of anything blocking it.

btw do you have any issues getting applications to detect the nvidia graphics card? I have tried to play GTA IV but it only detects the integrated card so runs like *

After some research it seems that it is a common issue for GTA IV to only detect the integrated graphics and I have been unable to get any of the suggested fixes to work. To add to my frustration although Saint Row 3 detects the 780M and runs fine on ultra it freezes and crashes around every 5 minutes. Googling a little it seems this is also quite common so although I can't blame the problem on my laptop I am still bitterly disappointed as I have spent all day downloading my 2 favourite games and it seems I am unable to run either of them properly. For all PC players love to claim their elitism over console players they neglect to mention the vast amount of problems there is even with AAA games. At this stage I already regret spending so much on a laptop and wish I just bought a cheap netbook and kept money for a next gen console :(

PS my headphones are still jammed in the aux port fml
