Asus K55A problem

I have an ASUS K55A and I had gotten an error message that popped up when I turned the laptop on that said that the PXE device... something.... check cable. I knew how to fix this so I went into the bios. I saw an option to disable Launch PXE OpROM. I changed it from enabled to disabled and restarted the system. Now the machine turns on but nothing appears on the display and after a few seconds I can here something in the maching wurr down to silence and stop completely. Then there is not sound coming out of the laptop.

I really need this to be fixed by tommorow.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply.
That's the problem. I can't see anything at all on the display and so cannot enter the bios to restore factory settings :(
The screen does not even power on now when I turn on the laptop. All I can see is the power LED. The HDD led stops flashing after a few seconds and the machine goes silent.

Hmm, so hitting delete or f2 doesn't enter bios? I realise you're saying the screen doesn't show anything, but if it's on fastboot then it wouldn't display until the windows logo anyway. It's possible it's trying a pxe (network) boot and not finding any commands so auto shutting down.

Laptops have a psu too, usually on the motherboard, but sometimes a separate circuit. Sorry, mate, dunno what to suggest.

Gonna send it back to asus for a hardware reset.
Pretty sick of it tbh.
Probably gonna buy a PCS lappy at christmas to replace it :)
