Are my temps too high?

I got my vortex 3 elite in feb this year. The specs are....i7 3840qm 2x 680m in sli....16 gb ram. I've been playing f1 2012 for a while and decided to check my in game temps. Anyway, after reading a post in the sales forum I'm slightly worried. I play with maximum settings and get around 110 - 120 fps and one of the gpu's reaches a maximum of 93, while the other one gets to around 78 at the most. When I purchased from pcs I opted for the artic paste, but I didn't expect temps to get that high.....although I've read elsewhere that those temps are normal ......I'm confused. Also, those temps get to those values after only like 5 mins of gaming......but I've never seen it go over 93 even if I played for an hour or more. Should I be worried???

ah, so your card is pumping out 100+ frames, so its basically running at 100% during gaming.

I would suggest whacking on adaptive Vsync, You can read about it here - http://www.hardocp.com/article/2012/04/16/nvidia_adaptive_vsync_technology_review/

But, to turn it on, Nvidia control panel, manage 3d settings, global settings, scroll down to vertical sync, set to adaptive.

This is basically set the frames to 60, which would be what your screen is displaying anyway. 60hz - 60frames. So your card running at 60frames isnt going to be working as hard, therefore you should get less temps.

Thanks for the reply Tom. I have tried that, and yes the temps were much much better. My only problem with that is....I stream my races and when streaming, my fps drop to between 50-55 which is fine. but with vsync on it drops to under 30 fps. I suppose the best thing would be for me to play with vsync off while streaming and turn it on when not streaming.
My gpu usage btw is around 97% with vsync off.
Just wondered if I would harm the gpu at 93 degrees.?

The gpu should be able to stand those temperatures and will automatically shut down/reset if it overheats. 93 degrees sounds high to me but not sure since you have 2 x gtx 680m on a laptop so i guess high temperatures at full load are expected. Are you blasting the fans at full speed when gaming?

Can u manually turn up the fans??? Someone mentioned about fn and 1 ........but that just stops the mouse pad.

I would suggest a cooling stand to help the cooling with VSync off.
