Are Amazon Basics HDMI cables any good for connecting your GPU to your monitor?

Sorry if this isn't the right place but I recently purchased a new HDMI cable from Amazon as I've been working from home and to keep switching my current HDMI cable between my desktop and work laptop, andI don't want to risk damage.

I have what I think is a HP one but it's pretty old, whereas the Amazon one is brand new but I'm worried in case it's cheaply made. To be fair, I think the HP one is cheaply made too, though I don't remember where I got it from.

Not sure if I should use either the old or new one for my desktop. I know, bit of a silly question to ask. I guess the Amazon one might be faster if it's newer but I don't really know.

Thanks.

Really depends what you want, pretty much all of them will probably work, I'm currently using some 2.1hdmi cables off Amazon, Ibra ones I think and they seem to be doing what they claim. Though most may not do everything they claim to do like the 8k 2.1hdmi ones even 4k 2.1hdmi ones say.

The only 2.1 hdmi cable that 100% do what they claim are the certified ones that have the scannable logo on them.

Zeskit do them, I have a couple though I stupidly only got 1m ones and 1m really doesn't go far in terms on HDMI cables so at the moment I'm not using them.

We have had a couple of people report interference between HDMI cables and WiFi when the HDMI socket is close to the WiFi antenna.

Using basic HDMI cables is fine - unless you start to see either graphics issues or WiFi issues. If you do, then consider upgrading your HDMI cables as part of your troubleshooting. :)
