I need a new monitor for my office set-up, so am looking at using an existing 24" one I have and getting a new 27" for my gaming use (strategy games and sports games on console, no ultra-twitchy FPS).
The PC will be retired later this year and is currently running a GTX 1050Ti, so I'm aware I'll not get the benefit until I've upgraded.
I see people have recommended the AOC Q27G4X, and I can see a Q27G4XND for £126 - this looks to be a VA panel rather than IPS though, is IPS what people would generally recommend?

Browsing another thread I saw a recommendation for an MSI G274QPF-E2 which is available for £179, is this a worthwhile upgrade over the AOC? https://www.currys.co.uk/products/msi-g274qpfe2-quad-hd-27-ips-gaming-monitor-black-10262080.html
I don't want to go much higher in price than that (a few quid here, a few there, and suddenly I'll be at £300+), are there other options I should be considering?
