Any recommendations welcome!

Hi there,

I am thinking of buying this. I'll be honest, I don't really know what I'm doing. I guess I'm determined to have something that'll be pretty good a solid decade at least.

Are there any specs here that are a waste or anything that will bottleneck?

I thank anyone in advance! Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

We'll need to know what you're aiming to use the PC for before we can advise...but there are some very poor choices in there in general (PCS SSD, slow RAM, basic motherboard, sound-card when most motherboards have good sound chips built-in, relatively low power PSU, poor cooler, poor extra fans).

Hi there,

Thanks for reviewing. I don't really have any real needs other than being futureproof. I guess the two aims are processing speed and watching films in 4K; those would be the main aim.

Is the RAM slow due to the 5200Mhz? I was looking at the 64gb part and thought that might make things fast.

I'm very open to your suggestions; literally happy to change everything. I've always had Intel PC's but I've heard way too many good things about AMD recently.

Kind regards

This quote came out to about £2.3K; if anyone is able to suggest other parts that would take it down to £1.5K, that would be fantastic. I'm sure I've chosen certain parts that I probably don't fully need. Apologies for the lack of knowledge!
