Anyone on here a fan of Roller Coaster Tycoon?
This franchise was one of my favourite as a kid, I loved 1, 2 and 3.
Always hoped for a 4th, and now I've bought myself a gaming laptop to get back into PC gaming I really hope there's another.

I really enjoyed RCT1 and 2, not really gotten into 3 and 4 was originally a mobile game. Apparently its been re-made for PC (hope that isn't long winded for 'ported'). See what Christmastime brings!

'The PC version of Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 will be released in "holiday 2014" (Christmas period).'

I haven't played RCT but I think you might like the Tropico games, 4 being the latest with 5 to be released later this month.

Never looked at Tropico games, will have a read about them now.

Edit: Just had a read about them. Definitely seems my kind of game, thanks for suggesting that.

I loved one and two. I was only 8 when I first played RCT 1, the expansions were fun too, loopy landscapes or something.
Took a little longer to get into 3, thought it was naff at first. But I ended up addicted.

I'd heard 4 was a mobile app, but they were also going to do a PC game. I do hope it's as good as the older games.

I really loved it - that feeling when I made a theme park completely sustainable was GREAT. I just used to leave my PC running all day and when I came back I'd have millions! Also - putting the prices of umbrellas up to £10 when it rained ;)

Or picking up the people and dropping them in water - or popping the balloons!

I hope the new one is good :)

Everything you d just said makes me feel nostalgic.
It really was an immense feeling when a park actually became sustainable and profitable! As sad as that may seem to some lol. I too left my PC on for hours just allowing the park to make money. Ahhh childhood days, be nice to have them back, I could play all the time, didn't have 50-60 hour weeks back then :(
