I think this would be quite future proof with such a cpu, storage space, the bluray rewriter, and a decent gpu. What do you think? Initially I went for the corsair 650w psu but pcspecialist calculated and told me 450w would be enough:confused:

I'll be using it mostly for movies, some office work, some photo editing and website building, and very little gaming. I wanted a new hd monitor (atleast 24") but not sure about the E2472HD. Is it any good? Plus, I'm already a bit above my budget, hehe!

Thanks

Drop the RAM down to 1333mhz, (1600mhz is for overclocking) you’ll be fine with 4GB of RAM as well. The coolit eco alc is unnecessary and 450w is enough for this build but I'd go for the TX650 anyway so that if you ever wanted to upgrade the graphics card to something more powerful there wouldn't be any issues. The Iiyama monitors are very nice and not too expensive, you won't regret buying one :)

Thanks Phoenix. I'll change the RAM to 1333mhz. I was hoping to experiment a bit with overclocking but after browsing through the forums, I think I'll pass. I'll tweak the specs a bit and then maybe add the monitor to treat myself :D

I would try and go for the ATI HD 6850 with a few tweaks, it's not that much more than the HD 5770 but offers much better performance.
