AMD spec or Intel spec for PC gaming?

Hi

I'm a bit confused with the new AMD CPU's, I normally always pick intel but I see a lot of people now going AMD, I know the CPU's are new but are they better performance?

I want a gaming PC, I already have a Acer Predator XB271HUA 2560x1440.

My budget is about £2000 but don't mind going over as long as the performance is better and it can keep up with future games. I normally just use the PC for gaming and watching movies. I want the PC to be able to run at the highest graphical settings in games, I play GTA V, Witcher 3, Assassins Creed games, Tomb Raider, Far Cry 5, PUBG etc.

I have spec'ed the ones below, can you tell me which one is better and what I should change.

There is only £70 between them so not that much price wise.

What would you recommend? and is the 2070 Super good or should I change it to the 2080 Super?

AMD build with an R5 3600. You're going to see very little difference at 1440p and it's much cheaper.

I'd probably drop the RAM to 3200MHz as the premium is way too much for 3600MHz.

This saves you getting on for £300 versus the Intel spec, while giving you a more futureproof and higher spec motherboard and very similar gaming performance. £300 for a small holiday, PC upgrades, PC games, whatever.

By very similar, I mean you're not going to be able to tell the difference with the naked eye; the difference seems to be about 3% averaged out...
