Hey guys. This post is going to look eerily similar to one created just an hour or so ago, but I assure you that we're not the same person.
The PC is going to be used for gaming. I have a 1440p monitor at the moment (ASUS ROG SWIFT PG279Q). I'll be looking to upgrade to a 1440p ultrawide, or perhaps something better. This is something I'll be doing towards the end of the year, when my partner has granted me forgiveness and/or left me.
I'm 20 days at pre-production at the moment, and I've made more amendments than I care to admit. Here's the spec:

EXTRAS:
I asked through email and have added a Corsair LL120 RGB LED FAN for the back exhaust.
The formatting may be a bit off as I am on phone, and the post to forum link didn't recognise all the changes I had made.
I chose the RAM (4X 8GB) as I understand that the new Ryzen CPUs enjoy using all the channels (may be the wrong phrase), and 16GB and above should be dual rank, but people are reporting cases of this not being true. I went with 4x8 as they are guaranteed to be single rank, providing optimal performance.
I know savings could be made on the graphics card, but I love the look of the Strix, and I'm not a fan of Palit/Zotac.
Budget isn't too much of an issue, but I'd appreciate advice on the storage front. I've got with the 970 m2 as I understand that the difference between the 970 and 980 is practically imperceptible. I wouldn't be moving large files about, so it would be from a purely gaming perspective. Would I still benefit from making changes here? Especially with Windows 11 looming and rumour of Direct Storage, or whatever it's known as.
I have the 2TB standard 870 SSD as an additional drive to stick games on, particularly those where load times really won't matter. I've avoided mechanical drives as I want things to be as quiet as possible.
I'd appreciate advice on the motherboard too. I've gone for the ASUS TUF range as I don't plan to overclock, and I'm unsure whether I'd use the features of anything better. I don't plan to do any rendering or design work.
I chose the 570 board as I understand that it provides better cooling, and has access to PCI4 (could be the wrong phase). I considered the 570F Strix board which costs a little bit more, but I heard it has audio issues. I currently have the ASUS MAXIMUS IX whose audio issues (clicking and popping) caused me to buy a separate AMP/DAC to bypass the on-board audio, after hours of searching for a real fix.
I've been lurking for weeks picking up tips from other users' posts, so figured it's time to post my own.
Any and all advice is welcome!
Thanks
