Always performing check disk on start up

Hi,

I have had my PC for nearly a year and been using it without any problems but this weekend it has started performing a check disk every time I turn it on. After the check has finished Windows starts as normal and everything runs fine (internet, games etc), the only difference I have noticed is that my kaspersky anti virus doesn't start normally saying that its databases are corrupted.

Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Might be worth uninstalling then reinstall kaspersky anti virus program.

One of the programs affected by the recent Microsoft update was Kapersky.

It was the Windows update, thanks very much for the link. Uninstalled the update, restarted and hey presto no more check disk or antivirus problems.

Thanks very much for the swift response. This forum was a great help when I was speccing my PC and continues to be so after I've had it for a year.
